HomeMy WebLinkAbout2006-014 CCRMember Kay Lasman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2006-14 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND AWARDING A CONTRACT, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 2005-18, CONTRACT 2005-I, CENTRAL PARK BALLFIELD LIGHTING IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for Improvement Project No. 2005-18, bids were received, opened, and tabulated by the City Clerk and Engineer on the 27th day of January, 2006. Said base bids were as follows: Bidder Base Bid Amount as Submitted 1 Forest Lake Contracting, Inc. $ Collins Electrical Systems, Inc. Killmer Electric Co. Honda Electric, Inc. Gunnar electric Co. Vinco, Inc. 91,440.00 $ 91,552.00 $ 94,597.00 $ 98,700.00 $102,660.00 $125,145.00 WHEREAS, it appears that Forest Lake Contracting, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder as determined by the base bids tabulated above. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that: 1. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Forest Lake Contracting, Inc. of Forest Lake, Minnesota in the name of the City of Brooklyn Center, for Improvement Project No. 2005- 18, according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Engineer. 2. The estimated project costs and revenues are as follows: RESOLUTION NO. 2006-14 COSTS Contract Contingency (10%) Admin/Legal/Engr.
