HomeMy WebLinkAbout2005-117 CCRMember Kay Tasman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2005-117 RESOLUTION APPROVING SECTION 22 OF ARTICLE 2 OF CHAPTER 152 OF THE LAWS OF MINNESOTA 2005 - USE OF TAX INCREMENT FINANCING WHEREAS, the Laws of Minnesota 2005 Chapter 152/Article 2, provides for a time limit for tax increment financing district number 3, established on December 19, 1994, by Brooklyn Center City Council Resolution No. 94-273, Minnesota Statutes, Section 469.1763, Subdivision 3, by permitting a period of thirteen years for commencement of activities within the district; and WHEREAS, local approval is required for this legislation to be effective. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that Section 22 of Article 2 of Chapter 152 of the Laws of Minnesota 2005 be and hereby is approved. Aueust 8, 2005 Pate Mayor ATTEST: City Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Kathleen Carmody and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Myrna Kragness, Kathleen Carmody, Kay Lasman, and Diane Niesen; and the following voted against the same: Mary 0' Connor; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
