HomeMy WebLinkAbout2005-133 CCRMember Kathleen Carmody introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2005-133 RESOLUTION ADOPTING A PRELIMINARY BUDGET FOR THE 2006 FISCAL YEAR WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center is the governing body of the City of Brooklyn Center; and WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes require that a preliminary budget be adopted for funds using property tax revenues along with the adoption of the preliminary property tax levy; and WHEREAS, a preliminary property tax levy of $ 11,627.415 has been proposed for adoption the basis for the budget proposed herewith. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the following amounts be adopted as the preliminary budget for property tax supported funds appropriated as follows: REVENUES: General Fund Property Tax Levy $ 10,494,126 less: Amount for Uncollectible (314,825) Sales Tax - Lodging Tax Gross Receipts 650,000 Licenses & Permits 683,754 Intergovernmental Revenues 1,245,030 General Government Service Charges 29,440 Recreation Fees and Charges 611,813 Public Safety services Charges 13,500 Fines & Forfeitures 220,000 Miscellaneous Revenues 200.300 Subtotal General Fund $ 13,833,138 Debt Service Property Tax Levy $ 876,224 Special Assessments 1,035,050 Intergovernmental Revenues 300,900 Miscellaneous Revenues 27.000 Subtotal Debt Service $ 2,239,174 Housing and Redevelopment Authoritv Property Tax Levy $ 257.065 TOTAL BUDGETED REVENUES $ 16.329.377 RESOLUTION NO. 2005-133 EXPENDITURE APPROPRIATIONS: General Fund Operating Divisions $ 14,663,503 Reimbursements from Other Funds (830,365) Transfers to Capital Projects Funds 0 Subtotal General Fund $ 13,833,138 Debt Service 1 1995 B G.O.
