HomeMy WebLinkAbout2005-095 CCRMember Kathleen Carmody introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2005-95 RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE COMPREHENSIVE ANNUAL FINANCIAL REPORT OF THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER FOR THE YEAR ENDED DECEMBER 31, 2004 WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center is required by State Statute and City Charter to annually produce financial statements to inform the general public about its financial condition and for submission to the Office of the State Auditor by June 30 each year; and WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center is required to have said financial statements audited by and independent auditor and to include in the presentation of the financial statements an Independent Auditor's Report as to the representations made by the City in the financial statements; and WHEREAS, HLB Tautges Redpath, Ltd. conducted the required audit of the financial statements for the year ending December 31, 2004 and opined that the general purpose financial statements present fairly, in all material respects, the financial position of the City of Brooklyn Center as of December 31, 2004. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the City of Brooklyn Center for the year ended December 31, 2004, along with all supporting documentation, is hereby adopted as the official financial record for the 2004 fiscal year. ,r..c~ • June 27. 2005 ate Mayer ATTEST: City Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Kay Tasman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Myrna Kragness, Kathleen Carmody, Kay Lasman, Diane Niesen, and Mary O'Connor; and the following voted against the same: none; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
