Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held on the 7th day
of October 1985 at 8:00 p.m. at the City Hall, 6301 Shingle Creek
Parkway to consider an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance to allow convenience
food restaurants as a permitted use in shopping centers over 250,000 sq. ft.
in floor area.
Auxiliary aids for handicapped persons are available upon request at least 96
hours in advance. Please contact the Personnel Coordinator at 561 -5440 to
make arrangements.
ORDINANCE NO. 85 -16
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 35 OF THE CITY ORDINANCES TO
ALLOW CONVENIENCE FOOD RESTAURANTS AS A PERMITTED USE
IN SHOPPING CENTERS OVER 250.000 SO. FT. IN FLOOR AREA
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Chapter 35 of the City Ordinances is hereby amended by
the addition of the following:
Section 35 -322. C2 COMMERCE DISTRICT.
3. Special Uses
c. Drive -in eating establishments and convenience
food restaurants provided they do not abut an
R1 R2, or R3 district including abutment at
a street line. (However, convenience food restau-
rants without drive -u0 facilities and located
within the principal structure of a shopping
center of over 250,000 sq. ft. of gross floor
area shall be considered a permitted use.)
Section 2. This ordinance shall be come effective after adoption
and upon thirty Y 9 (30) d following its legal publication.
