Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held on the 28th day of
February, 1983 at 8:00 p.m. at the City Hall, 6301 Shingle Creek .Parkway, to
consider an mivzianent to the zoning ordinance to allow less than the Tiuniinum
setback in certain instances for existing one- or two- family dwellings.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 35 OF THE CITY ORDINANCES
REGARDING SETBACKS FOR EXISTING ONE- OR TWO-FAMILY I7V LLINGS
i1 CITY COU113CIL OF THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Chapter 35 of the City Ordinances of the City of Brooklyn
Crenter is hereby amended by the addition of the following:
Section 35 -400. TABLE OF MINI14LJ I DISTRICT REQUIREMMES
Yard Setbacks (10) (12):
421) In instances where an existing one- or two- farlily structure
in a residential zoning district is deficient in its setback
from the front, side, or rear property line by not more than
30% of the setback requirement, the structure may be expanded
along the existing building line, provided there is no greater
encroaclyent into the recxuired yard area. This orov-- siori.. in no
way permits the expansion of a conforming structure resulting
in a setback less than established by this ordinance.
Section 2. This ordinance shall becoae effective after adoption and upon
thirty (30): dabs folloo.7ing its legal publication.
