McCauley, City Manager FROM: Sharon Knutson, City Clerk DATE: March 5, 2001 SUBJECT: Commission Recognition The commission recognition for 2001 is scheduled for Monday, April 16, at 7 p.m. in Constitution Hall at the Community Center. Attached are copies of the invitation and brochure that were used last year for the event. Light hors d'oeuvres /appetizers and beverages were served. Entertainment was provided by Brooklyn Center High School Jazz Band. There are three (3) commission members whose terms expired during 2000 who were recognized by City Council Resolution No. 2001 -10 on January 8, 2001. Certificates of Appreciation for the past members will be printed for presentation by Mayor Kragness at the recognition. Members who resigned from their respective commission or whose commission term expired are: Donald Arm, Housing 6/9/97 5/16/00 Muhammed Okoya Lawal, Housing 12/14/98 5/16/00 John Solomon, NW Hennepin Human Services Council 9/14/98 12/31/00 Just let me know how the Council and Commission Chairpersons would like to proceed for the recognition event and I'll begin the preparations.
