RESOLUTION NO. 2004-132
RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING FEE FOR POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS AND
DANGEROUS DOG REGISTRATION

WHEREAS, on June 14, 2004, the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 2004-12
relating to the regulation of potentially dangerous and dangerous dogs in the City of Brooklyn
Center; and
WHEREAS, Section 1-265 of the City Code of Ordinances provides that the City will
charge the owner a fee to obtain a certificate of registration for a potentially dangerous or dangerous
dog and a reasonable fee to cover its administrative costs and the costs of a warning symbol.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center that the annual fee for the registration of a potentially dangerous or dangerous dog
shall be $35.00 and shall not be prorated or refunded.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Kathleen Carmody
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Myrna Kragness, Kathleen Carmody, Kay Lasman, Diane Niesen, and Bob Peppe;
and the following voted against the same: none;
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
