HomeMy WebLinkAbout2004-136 CCRMember Kay Lasman moved its adoption: introduced the following resolution and RESOLUTION NO. 2004-136 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE USE OF TECHNOLOGY FUND MONIES TO MATCH FUNDS REQUIRED FOR DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY, DIVISION OF HOMELAND SECURITY AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT GRANT WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center has received grants for several aspects of the City's conversion to 800 MHz for police and fire operations; and WHEREAS, the City will be required to match portions of the grants for mobile 1 and portable radios. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the sum of $156,623.87 be and hereby is authorized to be expended from the Technology Fund in connection with the acquisition of 800 MHz mobiles and portables as the City's match to the $159,000 grant from the Department of Public Safety, Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management. City Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Kathleen Carmody and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Myrna Kragness, Kathleen Carmody, Kay Lasman, and Diane Niesen; and the following voted against the same: none; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
