HomeMy WebLinkAbout2004-144 CCRMember Kathleen Carmody introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2004-144 RESOLUTION APPROVING AN APPLICATION TO THE HENNEPIN COUNTY ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSE FUND WHEREAS, an application requesting grant funds from the Hennepin County Environmental Response Fund has been prepared for submission by the Economic Development Authority (EDA) of Brooklyn Center; and WHEREAS, the grant funds will be used for Environmental Investigation for preparation of a Response Action Plan for the Hmong American Shopping Center property; and WHEREAS, the State Statute which created the Environmental Response Fund requires approval by the governing body of the City for submission of a grant request to the Environmental Response Fund. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the Council supports the Environmental Financial Grant Application submitted to the Hennepin County Department of Environmental Services on November 1, 2004, by the EDA of Brooklyn Center for Environmental Investigation for preparation of a Response Action Plan for the Hmong American Shopping Center property. October 25, 2004 &""X.e.~.•, Dite (f Mayor Q ATTEST: U.z~L~YC City Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Kay lasman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Myrna Kragness, Kathleen Carmody, Kay lasman, Diane Niesen, and Bob Peppe; and the following voted against the same: none; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
