HomeMy WebLinkAbout1980 08-11 HRAMMINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER IN THE COUNTY OF HENNEPIN AND THE STATE OF MINNESOTA SPECIAL SESSION AUGUST 11, 1980 CITY HALL CALL TO ORDER The Brooklyn Center Housing and Redevelopment Authority met in special session and was called to order by Chairman Dean Nyquist at 10:12 p.m. ROLL CALL Chairman Dean Nyquist, Commissioners Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, Gene Lhotka, and Celia Scott. Also present were HRA Director Gera]d Splinter, Director of Public Works Sy Knapp, Director of Finance Paul Holmlund;. Director of Planning and Inspections Ron Warren, City Attorney Richard Schieffer, Planning Assistant Gary Shallcross, and Administrative Assistants Brad Hoffman and Tom Bublitz. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - JULY 21, 1980 There was a motion by Commissioner Scott and seconded by Commissioner Lhotka to approve the minutes of the Housing and Redevelopment Authority meeting of July 21, 1980 as submitted. Voting in favor: Chairman Nyquist, Commissioners Kuefler, Fignar, Lhotka, and Scott. Voting against: none. The motion passed unanimously. RESOLUTION NO. 80-12 Member Gene Lhotka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION APPROVING THIRTEEN (13) BROOKLYN CENTER HOUSING REHABILITATION GRANTS The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by .member Bill Fignar, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, Gene Lhotka, and Celia Scott; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. Administrative Assistant Hoffman stated that he would prepare a report for the Housing Authority regarding the amount of Community Development funds expended on the City's Rehab Grant Program to date. ADJOURNMENT There was a motion by Commissioner Kuefler and seconded by Commissioner Scott to adjourn the meeting. Voting in favor: Chairman Nyquist, Commissioners Kuefler, Fignar, Lhotka, and Scott. Voting against: none. The motion passed unanimously. The Brooklyn Center Housing and Redevelopment Authority adjourned at 10:15 p.m. Chair n 8-11-80 -1-
