HRA RESOLUTION NO. 74-1
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TRANSACTION OF BUSINESS AND
THE EXECUTION OF POWERS FOR THE HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT
AUTHORITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER, MINNESOTA
WHEREAS, the Brooklyn Center City Council provided for a public
hearing on August 6, 1973, as to whether there is a need for a Housing
and Redevelopment Authority in Brooklyn Center; and
WHEREAS, on December 3, 1973, the Brooklyn Center City Council
adopted Resolution No. 73-202 declaring the need for a Housing and
Redevelopment Authority to function in Brooklyn Center; and
WHEREAS, on January 7, 1974, the Brooklyn Center City Council
adopted ordinance No. 74-2 establishing the Housing and Redevelop-
ment Authority membership:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Housing and Redevelop-
ment Authority of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the Housing and
Redevelopment Authority is hereby organized pursuant to the Minnesota
Municipal Housing and Redevelopment Law of Minnesota, MSA Section
462.411, et seq and Special Law, Laws 1973, Chapter 659 (House
File 1436) and is now authorized to transact business and exercise
its powers in the areas of operation as defined in said laws.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by member Robert Jensen , and upon vote being taken thereon,
the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts,
Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar and Robert Jensen;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
