HomeMy WebLinkAbout1986-007 HRAR F11- Member Rich Theis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: HRA RESOLUTION NO. 86-07 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS TO HENNEPIN COUNTY FOR A HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT GRANT WHEREAS, the Brooklyn Center Housing and Redevelopment Authority has established a Home Rehabilitation Grant Program to assist low and moderate income individuals in the maintenance and repair of their homes; and WHEREAS, the Brooklyn Center HRA desires to maximize the use of funds in eliminating blight and deterioration; and WHEREAS, unusual circumstances require the Brooklyn Center HRA to work jointly with the Hennepin Urban County to combine funds to adequate repair and maintain a home in Brooklyn Center; and WHEREAS, an inspection by the City of Brooklyn Center has determined that the work is necessary and appropriate under the Brooklyn Center Housing Rehabilitation Grant Program; and WHEREAS, as the estimated cost of Brooklyn Center's participation is not to exceed $8,250. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Brooklyn Center Housing and Redevelopment Authority that: 1. The Brooklyn Center Housing and Redevelopment Authority does approve the transfer of funds up to $8,250 to the Hennepin Urban County for a home rehabilitation grant. 2. The work be performed as recommended in a confidential memorandum dated May 1, 1986. May 5, 1986 Date Chairm~ The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Celia Scott , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Gene Lhotka, Celia Scott, Bill Hawes, and Rich Theis; and the following voted against the same: Bill.Hawes, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
