HomeMy WebLinkAbout1986 10-27 HRAMMINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER IN THE COUNTY OF HENNEPIN AND THE STATE OF MINNESOTA SPECIAL SESSION OCTOBER 27, 1986 CITY HALL CALL TO ORDER The Brooklyn Center Housing and Redevelopment Authority met in special session and was called to order by Chairman Dean Nyquist at 8:13 p.m. ROLL CALL Chairman Dean Nyquist, Commissioners Gene Lhotka, Celia Scott, Bill Hawes, and Rich Theis. Also present were HRA Director Gerald Splinter, Director of Public Works Sy Knapp, Director of Finance Paul Holmlund, Director of Planning & Inspection Ron Warren, City Attorney Richard Schieffer, HRA Coordinator Brad Hoffman, Personnel Coordinator Geralyn Barone, and Administrative Aid Patti Page. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - SEPTEMBER 8. 1986 There was a motion by Commissioner Lhotka and seconded by Commissioner Hawes to approve the minutes of the September 8, 1986 HRA meeting as submitted. The motion passed unanimously. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - SEPTEMBER 15. 1986 There was a motion by Commissioner Hawes and seconded by Commissioner Theis to approve the minutes of the September 15, 1986 meeting as submitted. The motion passed. Commissioner Lhotka and Commissioner Scott abstained from voting as they were not present at the September 15, 1986 HRA meeting. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - SEPTEMBER 22. 1986 Commissioner Hawes stated that he would like to see a correction made to these minutes to indicate the mill amount for resolution No. 86-16. There was a motion by Commissioner Scott and seconded by Commissioner Lhotka to approve the minutes of the September 22, 1986 HRA meeting as amended. The motion passed unanimously. RESOLUTIONS RESOLUTION NO. 86-17 Member Gene Lhotka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION APPROVING TWO (2) BROOKLYN CENTER HOUSING REHABILITATION GRANTS The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Rich Theis, and the motion passed unanimously. 10-27-86 -1- The HRA Director presented a Resolution Authorizing Demolition of 1500 55th Avenue North. He stated that he would like to have this item deferred until the next HRA meeting because at this time staff had only received one quote. ADJOURNMENT There was a motion by Commissioner Hawes and seconded by Commissioner Lhotka to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously.
