HomeMy WebLinkAbout1986 11-10 HRAMMINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER IN THE COUNTY OF HENNEPIN AND THE STATE OF MINNESOTA SPECIAL SESSION NOVEMBER 10, 1986 CITY HALL CALL TO ORDER The Brooklyn Center Housing and Redevelopment Authority met in special session and was called to order by Chairman Dean Nyquist at 8:04 p.m. ROLL CALL Chairman Dean Nyquist, Commissioners Gene Lhotka-, Celia Scott, Bill Hawes, and Rich Theis. Also present were HRA Director Gerald Splinter, Director of Planning & Inspection Ron Warren, City Attorney Richard Schieffer, Personnel Coordinator Geralyn Barone, and Administrative Aid Patti Page. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - OCTOBER 27. 1986 There was a motion by Commissioner Scott and seconded by Commissioner Lhotka to approve the minutes of the October 27, 1986 Brooklyn Center Housing and Redevelopment Authority meeting as submitted. The motion passed unanimously. RESOLUTIONS The HRA Director presented a Resolution Authorizing Demolition of 1500 55th Avenue North. He noted that the HRA Coordinator had recommended that the HRA pursue the use of Community Development Block Grant Funds for the demolition of this house. He added that he was unsure of what the HRA Coordinator expected regarding this resolution, and he recommended that the Council defer action on this resolution until a later date. There was a motion by Commissioner Lhotka and seconded by Commissioner Theis to defer a Resolution Authorizing Demolition of 1500 55th Avenue North until the HRA meeting on November 24, 1986. The motion passed unanimously. RESOLUTION NO. 86-18 Member Celia Scott introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION APPROVING TWO (2) BROOKLYN CENTER HOUSING REHABILITATION GRANTS The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Rich Theis, and the motion passed unanimously. ADJOURNMENT There was a motion by Commissioner Lhotka and seconded by Commissioner Hawes to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously.
