SPECIAL SESSION

CALL TO ORDER
The Brooklyn Center Housing and Redevelopment Authority met in special session
and was called to order by Chairman Dean Nyquist at 11:14 p.m.
ROLL CALL
Chairman Dean Nyquist, Commissioners Gene Lhotka, Celia Scott, Bill Hawes, and
Rich Theis. Also present were HRA Director Gerald Splinter, Director of Public
Works Sy Knapp, Director of Planning & Inspection Ron Warren, City Attorney
Charlie LeFevere, HRA Coordinator Brad Hoffman, Personnel Coordinator Geralyn
Barone, and Administrative Aid Patti Page.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES - FEBRUARY 23. 1987
There was a motion by Commissioner Scott and seconded by Commissioner Hawes to
approve the minutes of the February 23, 1987 Housing and Redevelopment Authority
meeting as submitted. The motion passed unanimously.
RESOLUTIONS
RESOLUTION NO. 87-04
Member Rich Theis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION APPROVING ONE (1) BROOKLYN CENTER HOUSING REHABILITATION GRANT
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Gene Lhotka, and the motion passed unanimously.
The HRA Director presented a Resolution Directing the Executive Director to
Solicit Bids on a Certain Property. He noted this item would allow him to
solicit bids on the property at 1500 55th Avenue North. Councilmember Theis
inquired as to what technique would be used in advertising the property. The
HRA Coordinator stated that a sign would be placed on the property and an
official notice would be placed in the paper.
RESOLUTION NO. 87-05
Member Celia Scott introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO SOLICIT BIDS ON A CERTAIN
PROPERTY
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Rich Theis, and the motion passed unanimously.

ADJOURNMENT
There was a motion by Commissioner Hawes and seconded by Commissioner Scott to
adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously. The Brooklyn Center
Housing and Redevelopment Authority adjourned at 11:17 p.m
