SPECIAL SESSION
JULY 13, 1987

CALL TO ORDER
The Brooklyn Center Housing and Redevelopment Authority met in special session
and was called to order by Chairman Dean Nyquist at 10:50 p.m.
ROLL CALL
Chairman Dean Nyquist, Commissioners Gene Lhotka, Celia Scott, Bill Hawes, and
Rich Theis. Also present were HRA Director Gerald Splinter, Director of Public
Works Sy Knapp, Finance Director Paul Holmlund, City Attorney Charlie LeFevere,
HRA Coordinator Brad Hoffman, Personnel Coordinator Geralyn Barone, and
Administrative Aid Patti Page.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES - JUNE 22. 1987
There was a motion by Commissioner Lhotka and seconded by Commissioner Theis to
approve the minutes of the June 22, 1987, Housing and Redevelopment Authority
meeting as submitted. The motion passed unanimously.
RESOLUTION NO. 87-12
Member Rich Theis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH
MAXFIELD RESEARCH GROUP, INC. TO CONDUCT A MARKET SURVEY RELATING TO THE
DEVELOPMENT OF THE EARLE BROWN FARM
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Bill Hawes, and the motion passed unanimously.
REVIEW OF DESIGN AND PROPOSED EXTERIOR MATERIALS FOR CONSTRUCTION AT 1500 55TH,
AVENUE NORTH
The HRA Director stated the Commissioners had received detailed plans of the
design for 1500 55th Avenue North and noted the proposed exterior materials are
stucco facing for the home.
There was a motion by Commissioner Lhotka and seconded by Commissioner Theis to
approve the design and proposed exterior materials for construction at 1500 55th
Avenue North. The motion passed unanimously.
ADJOURNMENT
There was a motion by Commissioner Lhotka and seconded by Commissioner Hawes to
adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously. The Brooklyn Center
Housing and Redevelopment Authority adjourned at 10:56 p.m.
