moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2010 -13
RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION AND APPRECIATION OF
GRETCHEN KNUTSON FOR HER DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE ON THE
HOUSING COMMISSION
WHEREAS, Gretchen Knutson served on the Housing Commission from
August 25, 2008, through December 31, 2009; and
WHEREAS, as a member of the Housing Commission, she contributed to
developing and recommending standards for occupancy and maintenance of housing for the
community; and
WHEREAS, her leadership and expertise have been greatly appreciated by the
Housing Commission; and
WHEREAS, her public service and civic effort for the betterment of the
community merit the gratitude of the citizens of Brooklyn Center; and
WHEREAS, it is highly appropriate that her service to the community should be
recognized and expressed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that Gretchen Knutson is hereby recognized and appreciated by the
City of Brooklyn Center, and this resolution serves as a visible and lasting expression of
gratitude for the leadership and service she has rendered to the citizens of Brooklyn Center.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Kay Lasman
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Tim Willson, Kay Lasman, Tim Roche, Dan Ryan, and Mark Yelich;
and the following voted against the same: none;
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
