HomeMy WebLinkAbout2010-015 CCR Member Kay Lasman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2010 -15 RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION AND APPRECIATION OF MARK NEMEC FOR HIS DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE ON THE FINANCIAL COMMISSION WHEREAS, Mark Nemec served on the Financial Commission from June 14, 1999, through December 31, 2009, serving as Chair since June 5, 2006; and WHEREAS, he has made significant contributions as a member of the Financial Commission, including evaluating and developing fiscal policies, fiscal procedures, Mayor and Council Member total compensation, and budgetary and capital matters; and WHEREAS, his leadership and expertise have been greatly appreciated by the Financial Commission; and WHEREAS, his public service and civic effort for the betterment of the community merit the gratitude of the citizens of Brooklyn Center; and WHEREAS, it is highly appropriate that his service to the community should be recognized and expressed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that Mark Nemec is hereby recognized and appreciated by the City of Brooklyn Center, and this resolution serves as a visible and lasting expression of gratitude for the leadership and service he has rendered to the citizens of Brooklyn Center. Kay Lasman, Tim Roche, Dan Ryan, and Mark Yelich; and the following voted against the same: none; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
