SUBJECT: Results of September 10, 2002, Municipal Primary Election
Attached are the results of the September 10, 2002, Municipal Primary Election for official canvass by
the Brooklyn Center City Council. Also attached are the Brooklyn Center results of the federal, state,
county, and judicial races. Following are statistics of past primary elections.

Member introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2002 -127
RESOLUTION REGARDING CANVASS OF SEPTEMBER 10, 2002, PRIMARY
ELECTION
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that it is
hereby determined by official canvass that Myrna Kragness and Bob Peppe are declared to be the
candidates for the office of Mayor of the City of Brooklyn Center.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that it is
hereby determined by official canvass that Kathleen Carmody, Tim Willson, Diane Niesen, and Mark
Anderson are declared to be the nominees for the office of Council Member of the City of Brooklyn
Center.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center
that the City Clerk is directed to place the names of the nominees on the general election ballot.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
