HomeMy WebLinkAbout2004-090 CCRMember Kay la.sman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2004-90 RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE TRANSFER OF TITLE OF FORMER HUMBOLDT LIQUOR STORE TO SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 286 WHEREAS, the City is the owner of certain real property in the City legally described as Lot 2, Block 1, Horbal Addition (the "Subject Property"); and WHEREAS, the City has previously executed a lease and purchase agreement with Independent School District No. 286 (hereinafter the "Lease Purchase Agreement"), under which the School District leased the Subject Property until June 30, 2004, at which time the City agreed to convey the property to Independent School District No. 286; and WHEREAS, Independent School District No. 286 has performed all of its obligations under the Lease Purchase Agreement. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the Mayor and City Manager be and hereby are authorized to take all steps necessary to effect the transfer and sale of the Subject Property to Independent School District No. 286 in accordance with the Lease Purchase Agreement. Myrna Kragness, Kathleen Carmody, Kay Tasman, Diane Niesen, and Bob Peppe; and the following voted against the same: none; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
