HomeMy WebLinkAbout2004-001 CCRMember Kay Lasman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2004-01 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 2004-06, CONTRACT 2004-C, 73`d AVENUE STREET, STORM DRAINAGE, AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS AND APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF BROOKLYN PARK FOR CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION WHEREAS, the City's Capital Improvements Program identifies 73rd Avenue North between Humboldt Avenue and Penn Avenue for reconstruction in 2004; and WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the scope of proposed improvements for the reconstruction of said segment of 73`d Avenue North; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to work cooperatively with the City of Brooklyn Park to construct public improvements along 73`d Avenue, which borders both communities; and WHEREAS, an agreement has been developed to provide for the cooperative administration, planning, engineering, cost sharing and construction administration for the project; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to begin the process of information gathering, preliminary design and solicitation of public comments. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that: 1. Improvement Project No. 2004-06, 73`d Avenue Street, Storm Drainage, and Utility Improvements, is hereby established. 2. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement with the City of Brooklyn Park, in the name of the City of Brooklyn Center, for Improvement Project No. 2004-06. 3. Staff is directed to begin field work and preliminary design, contact property owners in the neighborhood to obtain comments and input, and hold public informational meetings for property owners in the neighborhood where improvements are proposed. 4.
