HomeMy WebLinkAbout2002-154 CCRMember Ed Nelson introduced the ' following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2002-154 RESOLUTION AMENDING SPECIAL ASSESSMENT LEVY ROLL NO. 15382 TO PROVIDE FOR THE DELETION OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the City Council has met and heard and passed upon all objections to the proposed Special Assessment Levy Nos. 15382 for the following improvements: GARDEN CITY SOUTH STREET IMPROVEMENTS IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 2002-05 WHEREAS, Special Assessment Levy Nos. 15382 was approved by the City Council on September 23, 2002; and WHEREAS, according to the City's Special Assessment Policy it is the intent of the City Council that special assessments be levied against benefited properties within an improvement area to the extent that the costs of such'project can be deemed to benefit the properties; and WHEREAS, a certain property in the improvement project did not receive any benefit from the street improvements. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that: 1. A certain property owner is eligible to delete their special assessment. Special Assessment Levy No. 15382 is hereby amended to delete the previous amounts from the following assessment as noted below: Pid# 02-118-21-22-0063 Original Assessment Amended Assessment $4,297.61 $0.00 November 12, 2002 Date ATTEST: JCity Clerk Mayor o RESOLUTION NO. 2002-154 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Kay Lasman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Myrna Kragness, Kay Lasman, Ed Nelson, Bob Peppe, and Tim Ricker; and the following voted against the same: n o n e whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. 1
