HomeMy WebLinkAbout2002-167 CCRMember Kay Lasman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2002-167 RESOLUTION ADOPTING 2003 SEWER UTILITY RATES, FEES AND CHARGES WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center Charter requires that municipal utilities be self- supporting through revenue provided by a uniform schedule of rates, fees and charges; and WHEREAS, this uniform schedule shall be called the "Public Utility Rate Schedule" and shall be adopted by resolution of the City Council; and WHEREAS, financial requirements for the utility funds have been identified and reviewed by the City Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the following Sewer Utility rates, fees and charges are hereby adopted and shall be effective for all billings issued on or after January 1, 2003. 2003 SEWER UTILITY RATE SCHEDULE Sewer Rates, Fees and Charges Base Rate Quarterly Residential Single Family Apartment Senior Citizen Year 2003 $54.10 $37.80 $29.75 Non-Residential Rate Year 2003 $2.16 per 1,000 Gallons' Fees SAC Charge set by MCES Fee Established by MCES Delinquent account, quarterly charge Certification for collection with property taxes Line cleaning charge Sanitary Sewer Connection Charges Greater of $3.00 or 10% of unpaid balance $30.00 Labor, materials, equipment and overhead Established annually by resolution November 25, 2002 ate Ma ATTEST: - ~l City Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Tim Ricker and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Myrna Kragness, Kay Lasman, Ed Nelson, Bob Peppe, and Tim Ricker; and the following voted against the same: none; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
