HomeMy WebLinkAbout2002-120 CCRMember Ed Nelson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2002-120 RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING THE BROOKLYN AREA BABE RUTH 13- YEAR-OLD BASEBALL TEAM ON THEIR PARTICIPATION IN THE BABE RUTH WORLD SERIES 1 WHEREAS, the Brooklyn Area Babe Ruth 13-year-old baseball team was champion in the Minnesota state tournament and captured the crown in the Midwest Plains Regional tournament advancing the team to the Babe Ruth World Series; and WHEREAS, the Brooklyn Area Babe Ruth 13-year-old baseball team participated in the Babe Ruth World Series in Abbeville, Louisiana; and WHEREAS, the Brooklyn Area Babe Ruth 13-year-old baseball team consists ofthe following team members: Andy Bahnemann, Michael Bjerke, Brandon Brodhag, Eric Buesgens, Darren Callender, Adam Distel, Jason Gatlin, Brett Hoium, Derek Kiecker, Steven Peters, Danny Ross, and Nick Tomsche; and WHEREAS, the Brooklyn Area Babe Ruth 13-year-old baseball team coaching staff consists of: Jim Ross, Kevin Kiecker, Brent Brodhag, John Buesgens, Bill Bjerke, and Greg Tomsche. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that it congratulates the Brooklyn Area Babe Ruth 13-year-old baseball team and coaches on a successful 2002 season. September 9, 2002 Date 1 ATTEST: City Clerk Mayor The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bob Peppe and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Myrna Kragness, Kay Lasman, Ed Nelson, Bob Peppe, and Tim Ricker; and the following voted against the same: none; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
