HomeMy WebLinkAbout2002-121 CCRMember Bob Peppe introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2002-121 RESOLUTION COMMENDING STEPHANIE HILSTROM ON HER STATE TITLES IN SWIMMING WHEREAS, 12-year-old Stephanie Hilstrom took home 12 medals from the United States Swimming (US S) state championships at the University of Minnesota; and WHEREAS, she took first place in her age group in the 100-meter backstroke, 200 and 400 freestyle, and was also part of the team winning the 200 and 400 medley, and 200 and 400 freestyle relays; and WHEREAS, Stephanie Hilstrom placed second in the 50 backstroke, 200 individual medley and 100 freestyle and was seventh in the 100 butterfly and eighth in the 50 freestyle; and WHEREAS, she trains with Northern Lights Aquatics, a club that represents the northern suburbs; and WHEREAS, it is highly appropriate to recognize the accomplishment and achievement of Stephanie Hilstrom. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that it commends Stephanie Hilstrom on her commitment, dedication, and success at the United States Swimming (USS) state championships.
