HomeMy WebLinkAbout1967-02 03-20 CCO ORDINANCE NO. 67 -2 • AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 3 OF THE CITY ORDINANCES THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Section 3 -102.4 of the City Ordinances is hereby amended by adding thereto as a variance to the Uniform Building Code the following: (4) Light and Ventilation. For the purpose of determining light and ventilation requirements for anv room in Group H and Group I occupancies such room may be considered as a portion of an adjoining habitable room provided: 1. The common wall between such rooms has a Permanent unobstructed opening in it equal to 50% of the area of such common wall. 2. The open and unobstructed portion of the common wall shall be not less than twentv -five square feet (25 sq. ft.). 3. The window of the adioininq habitable room shall be of sufficient size to provide the light and ventilation reauired for both rooms. 4. The window of the adioining habitable room shall have a glass area not less than one - eighth (1/8) of the combined area of both rooms. Section 2: This ordinance shall become effective 30 days following its publication. Adopted this 20th day of March 1967.
