HomeMy WebLinkAbout2002-097 CCRMember Bob Peppe introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2002-97 RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION AND APPRECIATION FOR THE DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE OF BOB DIRKS WHEREAS, Captain Dirks was hired as a police officer by the City of Brooklyn Center, Police Department, on July 5, 1973; and WHEREAS, Captain Dirks served as a detective from January 1, 1978 to June 30, 1998, and was promoted to the position of Captain on July 1, 1998; and WHEREAS, Captain Dirks has served as a member of the emergency operations unit and as a member of the Anoka-Hennepin Drug Task Force; and WHEREAS, Captain Dirks has received numerous commendations for outstanding police work; and WHEREAS, Captain Dirks has received letters of thanks from numerous citizens for assistance that he has rendered; and WHEREAS, his dedicated public service and civic effort for the betterment of the community merit gratitude of the citizens of Brooklyn Center. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, upon the recommendation of the City Manager, that the dedicated public service of Captain Bob Dirks is hereby recognized and appreciated by the City of Brooklyn Center.
