RESOLUTION NO. 2002-27
RESOLUTION AMENDING THE SCHEDULE FOR PLUMBING PERMIT FEES
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center adopted Resolution No.
99-172 on November 8, 1999, relating to planning and inspection fees, including plumbing permit
fees; and
WHEREAS, in the 2001 Legislative Session, Chapter 207-H. F. No. 1310 was passed
relating to changes to the state's building code requirements, including permit fee limitation of minor
resident al improvements; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 207-H. F. No. 1310 became effective January 1, 2002; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center that the schedule for plumbing permit fees be amended as follows:
Plumbij ig Permit Fees
Plumbing permit fees shall be computed as set forth below.
a. lAinimum fee $25.00*
b. Repair or alteration of existing system 2% of estimated cost
c. New residential or commercial building 2% of estimated cost
*Effective January 1, 2002, the fee for improvement, installation or replacement of a residential
fixture c r appliance that does not modify electric or gas service, has a labor cost of $500 or less, and
is done :)y the homeowner or a licensed contractor is $15 or 5 percent, whichever is greater.

and upc n vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Myrna Kragness, Kay Lasman, Ed Nelson, Bob Peppe, and Tim Ricker;
and the following voted against the same: none;
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
