HomeMy WebLinkAbout2010-027 CCR Member Mark Yelich introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2010 -27 RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION AND APPRECIATION FOR THE DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE OF SERGEANT THOMAS BOIE WHEREAS, Sergeant Thomas Boie was hired as a police officer by the City of Brooklyn Center Police Department, on March 19, 1990; and WHEREAS, Sergeant Boie has held numerous assignments, and was promoted to the position of Sergeant on March 26, 1996. W served as the department's Field Training Officer, WHEREAS, Sergeant Boie has g g P Certified Emergency Manager, and a team member of the Emergency Operations Unit. WHEREAS, Sergeant Boie has received numerous commendations for outstanding police work; and WHEREAS, Sergeant Boie has received letters of thanks from numerous citizens for assistance that he has rendered; and WHEREAS, his dedicated public service and civic effort for the betterment of the community merit gratitude of the citizens of Brooklyn Center; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, upon the recommendation of the City Manager, that the dedicated public service of Sergeant Thomas Boie is hereby recognized and appreciated by the City of Brooklyn Center. February 8, 2010 Date Mayor ATTEST: City lerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Tim Roche and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Tim Willson, Tim Roche, Dan Ryan, and Mark Yelich; and the following voted against the same: none; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
