HomeMy WebLinkAbout2001-137 CCRadoption: Member Ed Nelson introduced the following resolution and moved its RESOLUTION NO. 2001-137 RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 2001 GENERAL FUND BUDGET TO PROVIDE FOR THE REPAVING OF THE PARKING LOT AT LIONS PARK WHEREAS, the 2001 General Fund budget for Street Maintenance activities includes $90,000 for sealcoating; and WHEREAS, the 2001 sealcoating projects have been completed at a total cost of just under $75,000, leaving about $15,000 unspent; and WHEREAS, Park Maintenance staff have identified a need to repave the parking lot at Lions Park to improve drainage and correct an ongoing erosion problem, at an estimated cost of $10,000; and WHEREAS, this improvement is similar to other projects previously approved for construction with unexpended sealcoating funds. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that the 2001 General Fund budget is hereby amended to authorize the repaving of the Lions Park parking lot at an estimated cost of $10,000, using unexpended funds budgeted for sealcoating.
