HomeMy WebLinkAbout2001-144 CCRMember Kay Lasman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2001-144 RESOLUTION AMENDING SPECIAL ASSESSMENT LEVY ROLL NOS. 15128 AND 15129 TO PROVIDE FOR THE DEFERMENT OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the City Council has met and heard and passed upon all objections to the proposed Special Assessment Levy Nos. 15128 and 15129 for the following improvements: GARDEN CITY NORTH STREET IMPROVEMENTS IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 2001-01 GARDEN CITY NORTH STORM DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 2001-02 1 WHEREAS, Special Assessment Levy Nos. 15128 and 15129 were approved by the City Council on September 10, 2001; and WHEREAS, the City Council has established a program to defer a portion of the special assessments of qualifying persons who are at least 65 years of age or older or who are retired due to permanent and total disability whose households meet certain financial characteristics. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that: 1. A certain property owner is eligible to defer a portion of their special assessment. Special Assessment Levy No. 15128 is hereby amended to reduce the previous amount of $2,290.00 from the following assessments to the new amount as noted: Pid# 34-119-21-24-0002 Amount $1,094.10 Special Assessment Levy No. 15129 is hereby amended to reduce the previous amount of $750.00 from the following assessments to the new, amount as noted: - Pid# Amount 34-119-21-24-0002 $468.90 RESOLUTION NO. 2001-144 0ctober 22. 2001 Date ATTEST: ► City Clerk uti Mayor The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bob Peppe and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Myrna Kragness, Kay lasman, Bob Peppe, and Tim Ricker; and the following voted against the same: none whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
