HomeMy WebLinkAbout2001-054 CCRMember Ed Nelson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2001-54 RESOLUTION AMENDING THE SCHEDULE OF DISEASED TREE PROGRAM FEES WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center administers the state-mandated Diseased Tree Removal program; and WHEREAS, various payment options are established by resolution for the payment of the removal costs of boulevard trees; and WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has reviewed these options and recommends that certain changes be made. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council ofthe City ofBrooklyn Center, Minnesota that the schedule be amended whereby a property owner only has the option of being assessed for the removal of a diseased tree if the total amount of removal costs per property, including fees, is greater than $300. The exception to this option would be for the nonpayment of an invoice that is less than $300.
