DISPOSAL OF ABANDONED PROPERTY AFTER
HOLDING FOR TH MONTHS
THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF BROOKLYN CENTE£, MINNESOTA, DOES
ORDAIN:
Section 1. Section 2 -101 of the Village Ordinances is hereby
amended to read as follows:
Section 2 -101. DISPOSAL, OF PROPERTY. Any personal
property other than animals or perishable property in the
custody or possession of the Village of Brooklyn Center
which has been abandoned by the owner thereof or for which
no owner has been found may be disposed of after said pro-
perty has been so held by the Village for a period of at
least three months as hereinafter provided.
Section 2. Section 2 -102 of the Village Ordinances is hereby
amended to read as follows:
Section 2 -1 NOTICE OF SALE. After the expiration
of said three month period, a notice for the sale of said
property at public auction shall be published at least twice
in the official newspaper of the Village, the last publication
being made not less than four days before the time of the
proposed sale. Said notice shall state the time and place
of said proposed sale, shall list the property to be sold
and shs.11 state that said property will be sold to the
highest bidder.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its legal publication.
