HomeMy WebLinkAbout1961-02 03-27 CCO L� „ AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING DOOR TO DOOR SOLICITATION WITHOUT INVITATION AS A NUISANCE AND PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION THEREOF The Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center ordains: Section 1. The following new sections are hereby added to Chapter 19 of the Village ordinances, said sections to read as follows: Section 19 -701. The practice of going in and upon private residences in the Village of Brooklyn Center by solicitors, peddlers, hawkers, itinerant merchants and transient vendors, not having been requested or invited so to do by the owner or owners, occupant or occupants of said private residences for the purpose of soliciting orders for the sale of goods, wares, merchandise, or services of any kind, or for the purpose of peddling the same, is hereby declared to be a nuisance. Section 19 -702. PENALTY. Anyone violating any provision of this ordinance, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine not exceeding $100.00 or by imprisonment for a period not exceeding ninety days. Section 2.
