HomeMy WebLinkAbout1960-08 04-11 CCO AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO PETTY OFFENSES IN THE VILLAGE OF BROOKLYN CENTER AND AMENDING CHAPTER 19 OF THE VILLAGE ORDINANCES THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF BROOKLYN CENTER ORDAINS** Section Is Chapter 19 of the Village Ordinances is amended by adding new sections 19-203, 19-2042 19- 19- 19-210 and 19-211 and renumbering the former sections as follows: Former section 19-203 to 19-206, former section 19-204 to 19-207,, former section 19-205 to 19-209 and former section 19-206 to 19 -212, and the new sections shall read as follows.- Section 19-203* FIGHTING AND BRAWLING* Every person who engages in brawling or fighting shall be guilty of disorderly conduct and upon conviction thereof shall be liable to the same fine or imprisonment provided for in Section 19-201 of the village ordinances* , Section 19-204. ASSAULT. Every person who shall commit an assault, or an assault and battery, not amounting to a felony, upon conviction therefor shall be liable to the same fine or imprisonment provided in Section 19-201 of the village ordinances. Section 1 9- 20 5- PETTY LARCENY. Every person who commits a larceny as defined in Sections 622.01 through 622.04 of the Minnesota Statutes which larceny is not punishable as a.felony under state law upon conviction therefor shall be liable to the same fine or imprisonment provided for in Section 19-201 of the village ordinances* Section 19-208. CONTRIBUTING TO DELINQUENCY OF MINOR. Any person who by act, word or omission encourages, causes or contributes to the neglect or delinquency of a child, and such act, word or omission is not by provisions of - state law declared to be a felony upon conviction therefor shall be liable to the same fine or imprisonment provided in Section 19-201 of the village ordinances. Section 19-210. PUBLIC BATHING HOURS. section 616.14 of the Minnesota Statutes is hereby adopted by reference and shall have the same force and effect as though set out at length herein and persons convicted of a violation thereof shall be liable to the same fine or imprisonment provided for in Section 19-201 of the village ordinances. • Section 19-211* MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PRCPEM* Every person who wilfully injures, damages., or destroys the property whether real or personal of another without their consent upon conviction therefor shall be liable to the same fine or imprisonment provided in Section 19-201 of the Village ordinances.
