ON STREETS WITHIN THE VILLAGE OF BROOKLYN CENTER
THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF BROOKLYN CENTER ORDAINS:
1. There are hereby added to the village ordinances two new
sections entitled 27-201 and 27-202 which shall read as follows:
Section 27-201. PARKING PROHIBITED* No person shall stop.,
stand or park a vehicle, except when necessary to avoid
conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the
directions of a police officer or traffic control device,
on any street within the Village of Brooklyn Center where
any sign or direction prohibiting such parking has been
I posted upon such street by authority of the village council.,
nor shall any person park a vehicle upon any street contrary
to the provisions of any sign or direction posted thereon
by authority of the village council. All signs and directions
placed or maintained by the Brooklyn Center Police Department
shall be deemed to be pursuant to authority of the village
council unless the village council has expressly prohibited
the erection of such sign or direction. This section shall
be construed as supplementary to Section 27
Section 27-202. PENALTY, Any person violating Section 27-201
shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, punishable by a fine not to
exceed One Hundred Dollars (100.00) or by imprisonment in the
county jail for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days.
2. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its
• publication.
