Councilmember Rosene noted the City Council is now interested in having the park and recreation commission develop a similar evaluation process used by the human rights and resources commission to evaluate athletic funding requests. There was discussion regarding the 1992 budget approval process. The commission proceeded to review and discuss the evaluation form used for reviewing contribution requests from nonprofit agencies. There was discussion on ways to improve the form to make its use more consistent by all commissioners. Commissioner Carmody suggested the commission spend more time during the review process to discuss each item on the evaluation form before averaging the scores of all commissioners. The items on the evaluation form that need further discussion include items 4 through 7 and 14.
