HomeMy WebLinkAbout1956-07 04-24 CCO F An Ordinance Amending Section 3 -301 (b) of the Village Ordinances The Village Council of the Village of Brooklyn Center do ordain as follows: 1. The first paragraph of Section 3 -301 (b) is amended to read as follows: (b) Foundations and Walls. Walls, masonry exterior foundation and party walls shall be at least twelve (12 ") inches in thickness below the first story of any „building, provided, however, that foundation walls in private dwelling houses may be made less than twelve (12 ") inches in thickness but in no case less than eight (8 ") inches in thickness, provided such walls do not extend below grade more than four (4 feet eight (8 ") inches or if strengthened by buttresses or piers not less than sixteen inches by sixteen inches (16 x 16 ") tied in atIleast every ten (10 ") feet. The remaining upper portion shall be at least eight (8 ") inches in thic,:�ness in buildings of no more than one story and at least twelve (12 ") inches in thick- ness in buildings of two or more stories. Masonry division walls shall be not less than eight (8 ") inches in thickness. 2. This section of the ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
