RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING VOTING DISTRICTS
FOR THE VILLAGE OF BROOKLYN CENTER
Be it resolved by the Village Council of the Village of
Brooklyn Center:
Section 29 -101. The resolutions establishing voting districts
passed on the 9th day of August, 195J, and on the 27th day of April, 1955,
are hereby rescinded and in lieu thereof there shall be established nine
voting districts in the Village of Brooklyn Center, each district to be
numbered and described as follows:
DISTRICT ONE: Bounded by 53rd Avenue North on the South,
Shingle Creek on the West, Highway ,100 on the North, and
James Avenue North on the East.
DISTRICT TWO: Bounded by the Mississippi River on the East,
53rd Avenue North on the South, James Avenue North on the West,
. and on the North by a line beginning at 55th avenue North and
James Avenue North extended Easterly to Camden Avenue North
thence Northerly to 56th Avenue North; thence Easterly to the
Mississippi River,
DISTRICT THREE: Bounded on the South by a line beginning at
55th Avenue North and James Avenue North extended Easterly
to Camden Avenue North; thence Northerly to 56th avenue North;
thence East to the Mississippi River, on the East by the
Mississippi River, on the North by a line beginning at 59th
Avenue North extended and the Aississippi River extending
Westerly to Humboldt zivenue North; thence Southerly to 57th
Avenue North; thence Westerly to James Avenue North, and on
the West by James Avenue North.
DISTRICT FOUR: Bounded on the East by the Mississippi River;
on the North by Highway 100, on the West by James Avenue
North, and on the South by a line beginning at 57th Avenue
North and James Avenue North extending Easterly to Humboldt
Avenue North; thence Northerly to 59th Avenue North, thence
.easterly to the Mississippi River.
DISTRICT FIVE: Bounded on the East by the I�lisi ssippi River,
on the South by Highway 100; on the West by Shingle Creek;
and on the North by 73rd Avenue North,
DISTRICT SIX: Bounded on the East by Shingle Creek; on the
South by 57th Avenue North; on the West by Osseo Road; and
on the North by 69th Avenue North.

DISTRICT SEVEN: Bounded on the North by 73rd A venue North;
on the West by the West Village limits; on the South by
61st Avenue North, on the East by a line beginning at 61st
Avenue North and Osseo Road extending Northerly to 69th
Avenue North; thence Easterly to Shingle Creek; thence
Northerly to 73rd Avenue North.
DISTRICT EIGHT: Bounded on the North by 61st Avenue North,
on the West by the West Village limits; on the ,South by a
line beginning at 57th Avenue North and the West Village
limits extending Easterly to rIa.jor Avenue North; thence
North to 58th Avenue North; thence East to Halifax Avenue
North; thence South to France Place; thence Easterly to
France :avenue North; thence South to 53rd Avenue North;
thence East to Highway 100 and Easterly along Highway 100
to Shingle Creek; and on the East by a line beginning at
Highway lUv and Shingle Creek extending Northerly to 77th
Avenue North; thence Westerly to Osseo Road; thence Northerly
to 61st Avenue North.
DISTRICT NINE: Bounded on the South by the South Village
limits; on the West by the West Village limits; on the North
by a line beginning at 77th Avenue North and the West VillaW
limits extending Easterly to Major Avenue North; thence North
to 58th Avenue North; thence East to Halifax Avenue North;
thence South to France Place; thence Easterly to France
Avenue North; thence Southerly to 53rd Avenue North; thence
East to Highway 100 and Easterly along Highway 100 to
Shingle Creek; and on the East by a line beginning at
Highway 100 and Shingle Creek extending South to 53rd Avenue
North; thence West to Xerxes Avenue North, thence South to
the South Village limits.
Section 29 -102. The new voting districts shall be in full force
and effect sixty days after posted notice thereof as prescribed by law.
