Rabine to approve the minutes of the March 12, 1986 meeting as submitted.
The motion passed.
DISCUSSION OF ATTENDANCE AT COMMISSION MEETINGS
It was noted that three unexcused absences-. by Commission members from
regular meetings will result in dismissal from the Commission. After some
discussion, it was recommended that the Commission not meet as a whole in
June, July, and August. However, committees may set their own meetings,
but must notify the Recording Secretary for proper publicity on this.
There was a motion by Commissioner Wallerstedt and seconded by
Commissioner Seburg to cancel the June, July and August Human Rights
Commission meetings, with the exception that subcommittees may meet as so
desired. The motion passed.
The subcommittee membership composition was rearranged so that Chairperson
Kuhar now serves on the single parent families subcommittee.
Commissioner Rabine noted that Mary Jane Gustafson is writing a story on
the battered women program and recruiting more advocates for it.
SUBCOMMITTEE REPORT - SINGLE PARENT FAMILIES
Commissioner Rabine noted that the subcommittee has divided assignments to
complete, and, therefore, there is no report at this time.
