HomeMy WebLinkAbout1985 03-13 HRRMMINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER IN THE COUNTY OF HENNEPIN AND THE STATE OF MINNESOTA REGULAR SESSION MARCH 13, 1985 CITY HALL CALL TO ORDER The Brooklyn Center Human Rigtts Commission met in regular session and was called to order by Recording Secretary Tan Bublitz at 7:30 p.m. ROLL CALL Commission members Rabine, Kieselhorst, Misfeldt, Stoderl and Boldt. Also present were Councilmember Gene Lhotka and Recording Secretary Tan Bublitz. Chairperson Kuhar and Commissioner Mayleben were absent and excused from the meeting. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - FEBRUARY 13, 1985 Since a majority of the members at the February 13 meeting were not present the approval of minutes was deferred until the next regularly scheduled meeting. PLANNING SESSION FOR KALEIDOSCOPE 1985 The Carmission discussed their participation in Kaleidoscope 1985 and decided to display the rankings of the top ten items perceived as Human Service Needs in the telephone survey conducted by the Northwest Hennepin Human Services Council. The Commission also decided to take their own survey at Kaleidoscope regarding people's perceptions of Human Service Needs as compared to those presented by the survey. Canmi_ssioner Stoderl volunteered to prepare a poster outlining the demographics of the northwest suburban area to be displayed in conjunction with the poster for the survey items. The following schedule for Kaleidoscope was established: 11.00 a.m. to noon Noon to 1:00 p.m. 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. 2:00 p.m. to 3;00 p.m. 3:00 p.m. to 4;00 p.m. 4°00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Jayne Kuhar Evelyn Misfeldt Donna Stoderl Rosemary Kieselhorst Mary Ellen Rabine Tom Bublitz ADJOURNMENT There was a motion by Commissioner Kieselhorst and seconded by Commissioner Rabine to adjourn the meeting.
