CALL TO ORDER
The Brooklyn Center human rights and resources commission was called to order at 7:02
p.m.
ROLL CALL
Members present: Chairperson Lerbs, Commissioners Brown, Braziel, Eoloff, Nesseth,
Maddox, Nyquist, and Also present Council Liaison Hilstrom and Staff Liaison
Gohman.
Members absent and unexcused: Commissioners Yang and ebte ik
APPROVAL OF MINUTES - JULY 12. 1995
There was a motion by Commissioner Nesseth and seconded by Commissioner Brown to
approve the July 12, 1995, minutes. (Minutes were amended later in agenda to reflect
Commissioner Nyquist was absent and excused for the July 12, 1995, meeting). The motion
carried.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA OF JULY 12. 1995
There was a motion by Commissioner Eoloff and seconded by Commissioner Nesseth to
approve the July 12, 1995, agenda and also include a discussion regarding from the memo
from Cam Andre Interim City Manager regarding input on recruitment process and also
to add a discussion on Bias Response. The motion carried. (Sherry Maddox arrived at 7:08
P.M.)
The Commission discussed work plan item No. 2. There was a general discussion regarding
this matter which is to assist with and promote development of a human rights committee
for junior and senior high schools incorporated through mediation and guest speakers.
BCHRRC could bean advisory group and invite its members to attend our meetings. The
discussion focused on the idea that we should start the work plan item No. 2 with Brooklyn
Center High School. Commissioner Eoloff stated that she would write letters in this regard.
Commissioner Maddox stated that she could contact the schools. (Commissioner Nyquist
arrived at 7:15 p.m.)

Chair Lerbs discussed the process and presentations regarding the request for contractual
