ORDINANCE NO. 22
AN ORDINANCE
REGULATING CONNECTIONS TO DRAIN PIPES AND STORM DRAINS AND PROHIBITING
THECONPECTIONS WITH SAME AND PROHIBITING THE CONNECTIONS WITH SAME AND
PROHIBITING SEWAGE OR ANY REFUSE TO BE THROWN THEREIN.
The Village Council of Brooklyn Center do ordain as follows:
Section 1. It shall be unlawful for anyone to place or throw sewage and -or
refuse down any drain pipe or storm drain, and it shall be unlawful to
connect any pipe or pipes or make any other connection whatsoever by any
person, partnership, or corporation, to a drain pipe or storm drain without
receiving from the Village Council an application for connection.
The form of such application shall be as follows:
APPLICATION FOR CONNECTION
I, hereby apply for a permit to

which premises are owned by
and occupied by the following building
or buildings at the following
point in accordance with
the plans depos ited this day with the Village Clerk, If the appli-

cation is granted I hereby agree to (extend) to the said drain a

drain of material and in a manner satisfactory to the Council and
agree to keep the same open for inspection by the Village Council.

It is understood tha t the granting of this application does
not permit any connection to be made with the drain or storm
drain. Such connection can be made only after the granting of a
permit.

SECTION II -- PENALTY
Any person violating the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty
of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be fined not more than
One Hundred (100) Dollars and, in default of payment of such fine, shall be
imprisoned until such fine is paid, not exceeding ninety days.
