HomeMy WebLinkAbout2000 12-04 CCM Special Session MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER IN THE COUNTY OF HENNEPIN AND THE STATE OF MINNESOTA SPECIAL SESSION DECEMBER 4, 2000 CONFERNECE ROOM B CALL TO ORDER The Brooklyn Center City Council met for a special session at Brooklyn Center City Hall in Conference Room B and was called to order by Mayor Myrna Kragness at 6:00 p.m. ROLL CALL Mayor Myrna Kragness, Councilmembers Debra Hilstrom, Kay Lasman, Ed Nelson, and Robert Peppe. Also present: City Manager Michael J. McCauley, and Deputy City Clerk Maria Rosenbaum. Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 471.705 subd. 1(d), the City Council closed its special meeting at 6:00 p.m. on December 4, 2000, for the purpose of evaluating the performance of the City Manager. The Council reviewed the evaluation form and it was the consensus of the City Council that the City's Manager had worked to implement and facilitate the City Council's goals for 2000. Overall, the majority of the Council felt that the City Manager's performance was excellent in providing administrative support to the City Council, discharging his administrative duties in fiscal affairs, operations, projects, and enterprises, and in the area of intergovernmental matters. The City Council recessed its special meeting at 7:00 p.m. for the Truth in Taxation Hearing and reconvened at 8:17 p.m. in Conference Room B to complete its annual evaluation of the City Manager. The Council discussed increasing the City Manager's salary by three percent for 2001 and increasing the car allowance to reflect the median car allowance in comparable cities. These minutes shall serve as the summary required by Minnesota Statutes 471.705 subd. 1(d).
