HomeMy WebLinkAbout2010-108 CCR Member Kay Lasman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2010 -108 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 2010 -16, ACCEPTING ENGINEER'S FEASIBILITY REPORT AND AUTHORIZING DEVELOPMENT OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 2010-16, SHINGLE CREEK RESTORATION IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, the City's Capital Improvements Program identifies specific creek restoration improvements to Shingle Creek in 2010; and WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the scope of proposed improvements for the Shingle Creek Restoration Project; and WHEREAS, said improvements are necessary, cost effective and feasible as detailed in the feasibility report; and WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center and the Shingle Creek Watershed District have received a Clean Water Legacy grant in the amount of $105,237; and WHEREAS, the City Engineer is prepared to develop plans and specifications for said public improvement project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that: 1. Improvement Project No. 2011 -16 Shingle Creek Restoration Improvements P J � g is hereby established. 2. The Shingle Creek Restoration Project Feasibility Study is hereby received and accepted. 3. Improvement Project No. 2010 -16, Shingle Creek Restoration Improvements, is hereby ordered and the City Engineer is authorized to prepare plans and specifications for said improvements. .c August 9, 2010 �- Date Mayor ATTEST: Q Dirt City Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Dan Ryan and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Tim Willson, Kay Lasman, Tim Roche, Dan Ryan, and Mark Yelich; and the following voted against the same: none; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
