adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2010 -134
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING PROPOSAL FOR MAXIMUM FEES FOR
BASIC AUDITING SERVICES FOR FISCAL YEARS 2010, 2011, AND 2012
WHEREAS the City Council Code of Policies Section 2.80 requires that the
City solicit proposals for audit of its financial statements no less frequently than every six years
and adopts a schedule under which proposals were to be solicited for audit services in 2007; and
WHEREAS proposals were solicited in December 2007 through a Request for
Proposals for Professional Auditing Services approved by the City Council on 10 December
2007; and
WHEREAS the City Council awarded an engagement for auditing services to
Malloy, Montague, Karnowski, Radosevich & Co., P.A. (MMKR) as a result of that process and
accepted a three year guaranteed maximum cost proposals for the basic auditing service; and
WHEREAS MMKR has submitted a guaranteed maximum cost proposal for an
additional three fiscal years' basic audit services which appears reasonable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center that proposal from the firm of Malloy, Montague, Karnowski, Radosevich &
Co. P.A. for basic audit services for the 2010, 2011, and 2012 fiscal years be and hereby is
accepted.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Dan Ryan
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Tim Willson, Kay Lasman, Dan Ryan, and Mark Yelich;
and the following voted against the same: none;
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
