Call to order Vickie Schleuning called the EAC meeting to order at 9:00 am on March 12, 2008 in the EBHC meeting room. II. Roll call The following persons were present: Vickie Schleuning, Bruce (Doc) Miller, Jill Berger, George Jennrich, Kristi Commers, John Rued, Danna Mickelson, and Rick Nelson (9:30am). Persons not present: Mark Reinking, Bruce Johnson, and Virginia Carter. III. Approval of minutes from last meeting Minutes from the May 9, 2008 meetings were approved. IV. Discussed the “Employee Survey” 1) George asked if there was a way to compare results to other cities. Vickie stated that the employee satisfaction rate was high compared to other cities. She also mentioned that the “Double Dozen” program has started, which will increase supervisory communications. “Communications” dominated most of the discussion. 2) The pros and cons of consolidated training were brought up, with extensive discussion ensuing. Issues related to all safety for all employees were injected. Vickie will bring the subject to the city manager 3) Several members expressed surprise by different survey comments made by employees. V. New Business 1) Danna will develop the questions for the “Getting to know” the employee article. Photo yearbook ideas were discussed including employee photos. VI. Adjournment Vickie adjourned the meeting at 10:20 a.m. – next meeting 7/9/08, 9:00 a.m. Minutes submitted by: Doc 1
