Discussion on Flowers:
Joyce Gulseth from Engineering has received $850 in donations
from various organizations. The Brooklyn Center American Legion Auxiliary will
purchase and plant an entire garden instead of donating money. We are expecting
perennials to be used, which will keep future expenses down.
.
A “planting day” will be scheduled where we will ask volunteers for one hour of their
time to help plant flowers in the planters outside of City Hall and the Community Center.
There are Hostas and Lilies that are ready to be transplanted. Will try to get permission
for maintenance to move and prepare beds for planting.
Tara will make a flyer once a day has been scheduled for “planting day.”
Becky will ask Senior residents at View Pointe Shingle Creek Tower if they would like to
help plant and maintain flowerbeds.
Cookbooks:
Sales tax still an issue, Karen will look into.
We have received about a 50/50 response from people that would be interested in
contributing a recipe.
