HomeMy WebLinkAbout2004 05-19 EACM Employee Action Committee Meeting May 19, 2004 Present: Patti Page, Tara Jude, Denise Hanson, Mary Beaudette, Karen Casto, Tom Leonhardt and Kristi Commers Brown Bag Lunches – Kelli Wick spoke at the meeting and asked for EAC’s help in promoting brown bag lunch seminars and in soliciting ideas for topics. Flowers –Joyce Gulseth will send out an email soon after Memorial Day asking for volunteers to help plant containers either before/after work or during lunches. The Brooklyn Center Ladies Auxiliary indicated they would adopt a flowerbed in Central Park. The Sign Shop will provide a sign recognizing the Ladies Auxiliary. BC Cookbook – The committee examined a cookbook kit provided by Morris Press. The kit illustrated the layout/design options available and pricing guidelines. The committee discussed pricing options and determined an advanced sale discount and a quantity discount for purchase of 3 or more cookbooks will be available. A subcommittee was formed to determine layout and options. A flyer will be sent out with the paychecks on June 4 that will include an order form and a form to submit recipes. The committee is hoping to have 150 recipes submitted. BC Logo Clothing – The committee has been asked if they are interested in sponsoring a sale of BC logo clothing. This issue has been tabled until the next meeting on June 16, 2004. Health Care Savings Committee – Kelli Wick asked the committee to help solicit volunteers to ensure each department is represented on the Health Care Savings Committee. The time commitment would be approximately 2-4 hours a month. Next Meeting – June 16, 2004 at 9:30 AM at Earle Brown Heritage Center.
